In this episode I talk to Jenn Grindeland about understanding the importance of understanding the connection between hidden differences and team culture; specifically looking at neuro-diversity and chronic illness in the workplace.
Introduction
After experiencing two traumatic brain injuries while working as part of a team, I witnessed how confused my supervisors and peers were with how to handle my needs in the workplace.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and experience as a yoga and mindfulness teacher, I saw how my unique experience and education could illuminate a new pathway for companies to create more awareness and inclusion in their teams.
I now teach teams leadership and communication skills that are thoughtfully designed to support equity for and inclusion of neuro-divergent and invisibly disabled employees. Through this work, all team members benefit from improved culture, productivity, and retention.

In this episode I talk to Chris Burns how mindset, a vision statement and making what you do fun are integral to success.
Introduction
Chris is a marketing consultant who helps businesses differentiate themselves and stand out in a crowded field. Chris’ approach is to make things simple and easy.
Chris describes himself as a serial entrepreneur, author, adjunct professor, digital marketing coach, podcaster, consultant, husband, and father of 3, all of which have helped him develop a strong yet diverse skill set.
He has worked in marketing for over 20 years and been fortunate to help hundreds of businesses including his own scale by doubling down on digital. Chris believes that success starts by helping businesses differentiate and stand out rather than blend in and believes strategy and execution are the elements missing for small to medium-sized businesses.
